When it comes to authoring your film or video project on Blu-ray, experience counts. Use of the proper tools is critical as well. Ikonik Media uses the proven technology of Scenarist Blu-ray Professional authoring system and the CineVision HD encoder. Scenarist and CineVision are the Hollywood standards for the development of blockbuster Blu-ray title releases. And since we are passionate sticklers for exceptional quality, we settle for nothing less than then best!
We take the complexity and high-cost out of Blu-ray Disc development, all without compromising the rich functionality and finished quality of your project. Others take a cookie-cutter approach, but we are able to give your project the unique attention and care it deserves while remaining efficient in the process.
Accepted Master Formats
We prefer to receive HD content as HD QuickTime files in a lossless or uncompressed format on an external hard drive, preferably with a FW800 connection. We will accept a bare internal SATA drive as well. The drive can be formatted for either mac or PC.
We also accept HDCAM, HDCAM SR, as well as many other tape formats. We find that in today's post production environment, HD QuickTime files are readily available, preserve the content from unnecessary copy generations, and save our clients money. But we are happy to accept any tape format if that is the preferred delivery method.
Project Archives
We maintain an archive of all our projects, both during production and after the project is complete. Often times we find that clients will want to come back to us after a period of time to add additional language audio tracks or subtitles, or another feature to the disc. It is part of our long-term commitment to our clients to take proactive steps in your best interest.
We archive project content to LTO5 Data Tape, which has a 30-year archival life.
